Genetic Disease Screening Program (GDSP) Contact Information

      In order to facilitate State of California Prenatal Screening and Newborn Screening Labs you'll need to register as a provider and order requisition materials.

Basic Newborn screen information

  • Contact GDSP.
  • You will be assigned a provider number.
  • Call the newborn screen office to order the supplies; they send them out quickly.
  • The test cards are $1 each.
  • The lab fee for the screening is $111.70 (as of April 2014), and the midwife is billed for the lab.
